Buisness kete

Business and Enterprise Kete was a big project for the years 7-9 to sell and create products of our choice.

Our group name was 4 Little pigs, and we made mystery boxes full of little treats

What were your learnings?

Some of my learning figuring out how much stuff we needed to get and how pre-order works

How Important were your decisions?

My decisions were pretty important because I was the CEO of our group and I had to make the final decision to tell the teacher what was happening and how we are going to do things.

Do you think you were successful?

I think we were successful because we sold out and everything was gone pretty quick. On top of that we made a profit of at least $40.

Do you believe you upheld the CARR values our our school?

I think I upheld the CARR values because our group rotated who got to stay at the table and who got to look around fairly, and when I looked around with my friends. I also upheld the Carr Values well because I was being sensible and I was usually either looking at the other businesses, helping the group or just sitting down with my friends.

P.E

 This week in P.E we have been playing some really fun games. The first thing we do in P.E is we run three laps around the gym then we start our first game. our first game is usually kick long ball. our second game usually changes often depending on the teacher teaching us but the main second game is really fun and I think a lot of people like it.

Minecraft

This week in Minecraft my class and I have been making ancient objects. I made a trident and a temple. I had to change my 2d trident to a 3D trident and it was very simple.

Math art

Today first period I was making origami in maths art. It was quite easy at the start and then towards the end of the origami making it got difficult 

This is what we tried making. some of them were hard like the big one but the rest were quite simple

P.E

Today in P.E we did a worksheet about the things that we were able to do in gymnastics it was kind of easy but some of the things on the list were hard so I couldn't do all of them.

Lawyer paragraph on ancient roman inventions

The ancient Romans invented a lot of things we use today. These inventions helped shape our lives and have made them better. The inventions have also made things easier to do e.g travelling buildings paths and more.

Romans made our lives better by creating concrete which they used to build roads. Roads are good because you can now travel around easier by having a car and going to work. So Romans made travelling a lot easier for us. Romans also created highways which made you able to travel even quicker than when you did on normal roads.

I think it is important that we know about all the things the Romans have built to improve our lives today.

Roman Poster (Social Studies)

In social studies, we have been learning about the roman empire and all of the this that Romans have made, for example, the coliseum, concrete, aqueducts, highways, early plumbing, and sanitary management, first surgical tools, early forms of newspapers, census, and a welfare system. we have also learned about roman numerals and they were really easy to understand.

Today in social studies I have been making a poster about Roman gladiators. I think I did a pretty good job making the best poster I could.

Technology has changed the way we use computers.

Computer's make our lives easier by making it easy to access the internet. It also makes banking a lot easier for the people at banks so they don't need to use pen and paper anymore. Computers are super fun to use. They are also good because they can play games. It's super easy to use but it has such a complicated circuit that's built into the computer. Computers are easy to use when you are trying to start a business and make a site. Computers are also easier to communicate with each other by emailing them. Computers are really cool things to use when you need to complete some work. Computers are now getting better and better every day so there good.

Martha

Hello this is what I have been doing for the last two day.

The Challenge faced by Martha: 

Being poor and being bullied by the other kids. 

How she reacted to the challenge:

She kept to herself and didn’t give the bullies much reaction, but her running still encouraged the bullies to continue bullying her.

What that shows us about Martha:

She is quiet and brave but some of her decisions encouraged the bullying to continue and might have been the wrong choices.

Extra for Experts:

Martha’s rights are being bursted by the bullies chasing her around and torturing her by calling her name and being really rude like hitting her and spitting at her.

P.E

 For the past week, we have been playing badminton in P.E. Today I am going to tell you how to score a game of badminton You can play badminton in singles or pairs. There are smaller lines for a single match and wider/deeper lines for a doubles match. if you hit the shuttlecock over to the opposite side, and they don't hit, but it lands within the court lines, you score a point. If a server is unsuccessful in hitting the shuttlecock over the net, or the serve doesn't go diagonal, it's a point to the other team and they get the next serve. if you hit the shuttlecock out of the lines/court, it's a point to the other team.

Social Studies

Today in social studies we have been learning about Dame Whina Cooper. and have been mapping the places that she marched from on google earth. It has been a very simple project that we have been working on, and I was able to finish it in a couple minutes. I think it was very easy to make the map and google earth was very easy to use when I was trying to map it. I didn't find anything challenging in making the map it was all very easy to use. I think I would try to do it a lot quicker next time because it was all very easy to use and it took me longer than it should have.

Discovery task

In health, we were assigned a task requiring us to do a DLO about steroids in sports. We had to make a poster about steroids in sports. Our poster was not finished, but it had some information about why using steroids in sports is bad and about one of the steroid incidents in the Olympics 2007. In 2007 when the Olympics were happening someone decided they wanted to cheat so they used steroids and faked the tests. The person who cheated was Nadzeya Ostapchuk, and she cheated in shot put. After the game, she had to take a drug test in front of everyone so she could not cheat the test and when the results came back everyone was surprised, she had cheated to win.

In my opinion, you should never use drugs to help you get an advantage over winning a game, you should always play to the best of your ability so you can grow stronger the right way.

Religion plays a big role in Gloria Val they all believe in God and Jesus Christ and believe if they leave Gloria Val they will all be sent to hell

I think they are happy because they choose to be there their whole lives.

I don't know because they are told what to do they have assigned jobs to do and if they leave and some bak they are given a consequence.

I would not want to live in a place like Gloria Val because I would have to live in a place with no technology.

Human rights

Today in social studies Rhys and I made a poster about what we think is the top 5 human rights. Hopefully, the poster that we have made is good because we worked hard to get it done and it was really easy to do. This poster is probably the best work I have done in social studies so I hope you like it.

1. We are all equal to each other we are all humans so we are the same different gender or not

4. We all should be able to live without being tortured

3. We all should have freedom from slavery but some people are still in slavery because of the colour of their skin.

5. Every person have the right to enjoy the person’s human rights without discrimination

2. We all have the right to live a great life.

I think it was really fun making this and it was super easy because it only took me 10 minutes to finish.
