Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple

Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple

On Tuesday we went to the 3g4g Buddhist Temple. There were two groups one group went in the morning another group went in the afternoon. The first group left at 9:00am to go to the Buddhist temple and they had lots of fun over there. There were four classes in each group in the first group it was Mrs Shehata, Mr Tisch, Mrs Birch, and Mrs Topaz. When we got there we had to split up into two groups group 1 and group 2 they went separate ways. I was the leader of group 1 I had to hold up a sign saying number 1 and 3g4g. When we went around we could see all the different things we do in 3g4g it was quite fascinating. When we went upstairs we followed the leader to the go in the very small library. when we were done we had some morning tea what we had was two biskets and a drink of water we had to stay around one area so we just sat down right were we were so it was fun cause we had a little run around. Then after that we went on the bus to go back to school because the second group was getting ready to go to the Buddhist temple. We also bathed the Buddha while we were there.

Te Manu Tukutuku Poem

Te Manu Tukutuku Poem

Wow! New school I can’t wait for it. I’m so excited.

I feel surprised as I walked through the gate and see our new school.
It was unexpected to see our brand new school I was amazed at our new classrooms and the new smell.
I hear lucky excited kid’s roaming free around the school happily and chattering among themselves.
I smell a great brand new a stoked strong smell.
I touch the hard warm comfortable floors and walls.

I feel happy for being one of the first kids to walk on the property.

Coconut Raisin Bliss Balls

Coconut raisin bliss balls

WALT What is a coconut raisin bliss balls? WOW!!! This is so fantastic.

On Tuesday room 6, 7 and 8 did some baking. What we made was Coconut Raisin Bliss Balls. first we washed our hand for no germ's, and then gathered around the big blue table. When we gathered around the big blue table we saw one big baking machine. Once we all were around the table we started to make the coconut raisin bliss balls. For the baking we have been using the food processor, we had to hold the button down for one minute, for that minute we all blocked our ears because it was so loud. The ingredients we used coconut oil, raisins, cocoa and coconut. For the equipment  we used was a food processor and measuring cups. We all got to feel, smell, look and taste it. Some people liked it and some didn't.  And if people didn't like it the teacher allowed them  to go and give it to someone else that wanted more. After that we got to eat it yummy.

Antarctica Information report

Antarctica Information report

Antarctica is the coldest continent on earth and almost always stays the same size.

This is because the snow is so white that the sun reflects back into space. Antarctica is the coldest continent on earth, and has a climate of extremes. The continent is snow- and ice-covered, with freezing temperatures all year round. So-called "Cantata winds" can cause violent snowstorms that can last for days, and sometimes even weeks, making it very dangerous to stay outside. Antarctic weather. Antarctica is the coldest, windiest and driest continent on Earth. The average annual temperature ranges from about −10°C on the Antarctic coast to −60°C at the highest parts of the interior. Near the coast the temperature can exceed +10°C at times in summer and fall to below −40°C in winter. The South Pole is not the coldest place in Antarctica. The coldest temperature recorded in Antarctica was -89.6°C at Vostok station in 1983. The average winter temperature at the South Pole is about -49°C. Your home freezer is only about -15°C. The wind chill factor means that it can feel much colder.

That Was Summer Poem

That Was Summer!
I remember smelling.. fire on the  port hills

I remember tasting…  sugary slithering gummy snakes

I remember seeing… mrs m’s magnificent look on her face

That was summer

I remember feeling...  water dripping down

I remember hearing… birds chirp

That was summer.
