Today we were learning how to make a pop with science. It was the funniest time we had a blast.
Materials
A Stand
Test tube
Boiling tube
Sulfuric
Magnesium
Safety glasses
Matches
Wooden splint
Steps
Wear safety glasses
Put the test tube onto the stand but not to tight (don’t break the test tube # Mr Stock)
Slightly tighten the stand so the test tube doesn’t come out
One squirt into the test tube one sausage finger deep
Put a 2 centrepiece of magnesium into the acid.
Hold your boiling tube on top of the test tube
After 1 minute set the splint on fire
Lift the boiling tube up without turning it and put the fire inside.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't see the last part of experiment as your arm was in the way and I couldn't really hear a pop. Next time, pause the video while you wait for the gas to build up.
