Digestive system

Today in chemistry we were learning about the digestive system. Here is some of the work I did

The oesophagus: The oesophagus is a muscle in your body also known as the throat it connects your mouth to your stomach. When you swallow food, the oesophagus muscle contracts to move your food down and into your stomach

The stomach: The stomach is an organ in your body that is probably the main part of the digestive system. It is the second part of the digestive system. Once it collects the food from the oesophagus it slowly starts to break down the food to be made into energy.

The small intestine: The small intestine is a tube extending from the stomach to the large intestine. The small intestine carries out most of the digestive system. It absorbs the nutrients from the food.

The liver: The liver is the largest internal organ. The liver helps the food go down and get the food out of the area of the food.

The large intestine: The large intestine is larger in diameter than the small intestine.
